    Went for the half price carvery offer and we clearly weren't alone with that idea! The pub itself is clean and tidy and benefits from a bit of refurbishment last year. Tables well cleaned and laid, service very friendly and efficient. Carvery was busy, but running smoothly so not too long a wait and a decent portion of meat before you create your own vegetable mountain smothered carefully in gravy that you have to carefully manoeuvre back to your table. Roast potatoes are good, gravy is good and a decent selection of vegetables. The beef was a bit chewy and the standard issue knife isn't up to the job of cutting it TBH. It's a good roast dinner and plenty of it, when on offer it's really good value and the pub itself makes it a pleasant place to eat.

    I just wanted to thank Angharad who went out of her way to make sure me and my twin toddlers were comfortable. She brought them extra bowls, setup all the chairs for me and found me a table that was easiest to sit at. It made my life so much easier and the food was quick and easy! Thanks again 🥰
