The archways and exposed glossy white brick walls are an architects’ dream, a haven of cosy corners to relax and unwind in. The venue doubles up as a micro-roastery so expect the finest local independent coffee, plus the occasional jazz jam on a weekend.
Early risers can enjoy healthy, nutritious dishes such as buttermilk pancakes with poached pears and mascarpone, a banana chai porridge or a plum, apple and yoghurt granola. Heartier dishes are served until 3:30pm, the perfect cure-all for Sunday blues or hungover patrons. Their signature dish is kimchi & feta eggs on sourdough will have you salivating for days, though we also love the homemade focaccia sandwiches (the New Yorker has streaky bacon, fried egg and cheese) and the Lamb Merguez sausages with pickles and harissa cream cheese for the more adventurous.
Right around the corner is Mill Road, a hotspot of independent businesses, delis and shops, with Cambridge Train Station just over a ten-minute walk away.
