The Crafty Egg is a warm and relaxed cafe situated in the heart of trendy 'cultural quarter' Stokes Croft that specialised in a wide range of (free range|) egg dishes.

Serving up extract coffee, a firm favourite with locals, as well as locally produced beers and ales; The Crafty Egg is all about bringing together the communities of Stokes Croft and Bristol through sustainable, quality local produce in a happy and friendly environment.

Brunch is a big part of The Crafty Egg. Their menu features plenty of egg dishes (of course) as well as pancakes and even a full English breakfast challenge, which puts one of their 'Crafty Breakfasts' on top of a stack of pancakes with 3 fried eggs. A particular Brunch favourite is their Afghan-Eggs, a shakshuka with mint and cumin that is served with Abu Noor Pitta (perfect to soak up all the juices) and was a recipe learnt when owners Ben and Kate were visiting "The Jungle" refugee camp in Calais on a charitable mission, making it all the more quirky.

Comfy sofas, large wooden tables and portraits of dearly departed celebs and Bristol locals such as Jeff, a well-known Big Issue seller, give off an uber cool and effervescent vibe inside alongside the mixture of shrubbery and mismatched colour chairs. In case you hadn't already guessed it, The Crafty Egg is the perfect hipster hangout and all-day book readers who are craving coffee with a view.
