We were early for Sunday lunch and disappointed the place was a bit grubby. Tables and floor not clean, salt and pepper pots flecked with old gravy, etc. The decor and wall decorations are bland and unimaginative. Service was prompt, helpful, and pleasant. The meats were well cooked and presented, but the vegetables were mostly overcooked, not inedible, but pretty soft, lacking taste or wilted. There were a good array of sauces and condiments in bowls nearby. However, without any labels, it was frustrating and difficult to tell what was what. With a bottle of wine and a side of pigs in blankets, the bill was nearly £60 for 2 without a tip.

Just had dinner here with my little girl and husband after having a voucher on the app, fantastic service, it was very busy but staff didn’t fail to stop smiling and were very attentive (lady with red hair and gentleman who looked like a manager - hard to tell sorry!) extra praises for them! Lots of options in the carvery, turkey was super soft loved the option of Brussels sprouts and red cabbage felt like Christmas! Will definitely be back x

Nice location, lovely inside the pub. Charlotte looked after us, really nice and despite it being rather busy couldn't do enough for us. A real asset to the pub. Food was very good, £15.49 seems expensive for a carvery especially if its a family of 4. We would visit again.
