A good old-fashioned roast is guaranteed at The Green House, a modern gastropub with welcoming staff and a proper hefty Sunday Lunch.
Found in Sutton Coldfield, it’s an idyllic spot to gather friends and family and tuck into delicious roasts.
Starting off with appetisers, the duck liver and port parfait is an authentic taste of British cuisine while more exotic options like crispy karaage chicken and chargrilled lamb koftas with goats’ curd will appeal to the more non-traditional.
Sunday Lunch is served with plump homemade Yorkshire puddings, goose-fat potatoes, fresh seasonal veg and bottomless gravy. Choose from beef rib, pork loin, roast chicken and lamb rump or push the boat out with a trio of roasts, served with crackling and wrapped in bacon.
Desserts are (almost) as essential as the roasts themselves, with some of the most popular being a melting chocolate and peanut ‘bomb’ with Bourbon vanilla ice cream, a quintessentially British sticky toffee pudding and a tropical-inflected pineapple tart tartin with coconut milk sorbet.
